QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

I MISSED THE DEADLINE FOR WINE FROM MEZA / I LIVE OUT OF THE SERVICE AREA / I’D LIKE TO PURCHASE FROM MY OWN WINE SHOP
Check with your local wine shop
for availability of Jerry’s Selected Wines, listed in the program at the top of this page.
Your wine seller may be able to recommend a comparable alternative if Jerry’s selections are not readily available. Or, you may email hild@westervillesymphony.com for Jerry’s suggested alternatives.

I’VE NEVER ZOOMED! HOW DO I GET STARTED?

This event will be presented via a ZOOM meeting.
After paying for your ticket, you’ll receive an email from the Westerville Symphony office containing a link to register for Pairings 2021. Follow the instructions and call 614-899-9000 if you have questions!

CAN I TRY A TEST MEETING?
Sure! Test your own zoom setup by visiting
https://zoom.us/test

WILL I APPEAR ON VIDEO?

Yes! And No! If you’d like to appear onscreen, select “join with video” when you enter the meeting. Otherwise do not elect to join with video, and everyone will simply see your name.

WILL MY VOICE BE HEARD BY OTHERS?
Yes! And No! You’ll automatically be muted when you first enter the meeting. Feel free to crunch crackers or clink glasses! During our question and answer session, you may raise your hand using Zoom’s “raise hand” feature. To do this, click the PARTICIPANTS button and choose RAISE HAND.
Or, you may submit a question using Zoom’s chat feature.

HOW MANY TICKETS DO I NEED TO BUY?
You’ll just need one registration per household. If you plan to share with family at home, everyone could share a computer. You’ll want access to the keyboard so you can type chat messages and raise your hand to ask questions. It may be fun to cast your screen to a larger TV or screen.

CAN I TALK WITH OTHER GUESTS?
You can’t speak to just one person during a zoom meeting. However, you may send chat messages to specific guests during the entire evening.

HOW DOES THE AUCTION WORK?
We’ll invite bidders to practice bidding using the chat feature before the auction begins. Then, we’ll start 30 second rounds during which you may type your bid amount into the chat window for everyone to see. The highest bid will then be the minimum for the next round. We’ll continue until there are no more bidders raising the bid.
