The Westerville Symphony has been part of the arts scene in the City of Westerville for almost 40 years. This performance was streamed lived and recorded in the historic Everal Barn in January of 2021. Due to the video recording, people around the world were able to enjoy the Westerville Symphony. A viewer of the performance said, ‘There were tears of joy as we listened and watched. Some of us were hearing the closest thing to a live performance we would hear in over a year.

Peter Stafford Wilson Gratefully Accepts This Award on the Orchestra’s Behalf

I am humbled and exceptionally proud of the tributes that continue to result from this performance.  The Westerville Arts Council’s award signals the pride felt by our entire community and we are honored to receive this award.

Music has proven to be a source of comfort and refuge in time of despair, and our January 2021 recording served that need in a most profound and satisfying way.

On behalf of the musicians I gratefully accept this award with the renewed energy to pursue our mission to enhance the cultural life of our great community in ever new and enriching ways.
