Community Involvement

Our Community Concerts bring a rich symphonic experience to more than 2,500 concert goers around the Westerville community each year.

Forging a vital role for the Symphony in Westerville and the surrounding Central Ohio communities has been a fundamental tenet of the charter since our inception. We are constantly looking for ways to build partnerships with other institutions, associations and private organizations to become deeper involved in activities and raise the profile of classical music.

Throughout the year, the Symphony presents several community concerts that are free and open to the public as part of this mission.

Reaching more than 2,500 community members every year, these events offer an opportunity to enjoy music in a relaxed, informal setting, while affording our musicians an equally important opportunity to perform more diverse repertoire.

This season we launched a new collaboration with Mount Carmel-St. Ann’s Hospital, entitled "Healing Harmonies," where solo musicians and small ensembles from the Symphony and Otterbein University perform quarterly mini-concerts for patients, families, and employees at the hospital.

We welcome any inquiries about how the Symphony can become involved with your organization or event. Contact Janelle Myers, our executive director, with the details.
